DO WE REALLY NEED A CREDIT CARD?

Last year, I got a call from someone from a financial company (I never heard it before) who offer me a credit card. I wonder how they get my number and how they know my name? No privacy anymore in this world people! The girl just told me that they, her company, has special offer for me if I want to get a credit card from them. For a moment, I just thought Do I really need it? A rectangular piece of plastic, graphite, or metallic alloy that identifies a financial account. No, no, I didn't need it yet. 

I was old enough to qualify for  credit card, but I was not sure that I'll be responsible enough to pay my bill every month without being reminded. Most of people had problem with credit card and I will be like them I thought. I was not sure that I'll be responsible enough to charge only what I can afford. I thought I can't control this. I had a part-time job but I couldn't deal with something like a credit card. 

A Credit Card for Paypal Account

One day, I found a problem, a big problem with my internet account. It was financial. I had a blog and must have paypal account to earn money from ads. The problem was I got difficult to have that account. I had no credit card and I thought that I can't use my bank account for this. The solution was I need a credit card to get paypal account so I can earn money from my blog. Just it?

I met my friends to get help. I ask them about how to get my first credit card. I got some alternative choices like major credit card issuers, credit card from bank, a retail or store department, or a secured credit card. Honestly I was so confused and for some reasons I decided to stop. I didn't get the credit card. I just thought, Do we really need a credit card? I just hoped any other solutions. And for my blog problem, I did. I got the solution to earn money from ads without paypal account.

The Benefits of a Credit Card

When we use the credit card wisely, maybe we can borrow for nothing, get extra protection on our purchase, or even get a reward point that make us so happy. My friends told me that there are many benefits I can get from credit card. They told me that :

1. Credit card lets you borrow money instantly to make purchases (well, it will make some people lose control).
2. Credit card lets you buy something expensive and pay for it over a period of time (yeah, I want it so much! but it is too risky for me).
3. Credit card allow you to carry less cash (Oh, don't worry friend, I always carry less cash in my pocket because I don't have much money to carry on).
4. Credit card will let you purchase something now that you need even if you don't have the funds for pay it right away (Really? That is super cool! Sounds like I can buy anything that I want. I want it, I want it. No!! not now).
5. Credit card will help you to minimize how much cash you have available and allow yourself to use up to the limit on the card. You can control it! (Do I? I am not sure I can control my money. I think it will allows me to build up more debt than I an handle too).
6. Credit card let you easily use it as an emergency source of money (Well, I think I can ask you to handle it).
7. Credit card provides a free form of credit if you pay the balance in full and on time (That is the problem, I can't).
